Our Easter Food Drive was a blessing to many people in the city of Canton, OH because of our generous supporters who donated many food products and monetary donations. With your help, our foundation volunteers were able to giveaway 150 bags full of groceries in a Canton neighborhood. We prayed with many people who wanted prayer and handed out many Bibles.
Message via Facebook: Thank you so much for showing up at my door and showing me that He is real again. We needed it. See you at church.
Chuck R.: When I went to Taco Bell for lunch today at Belden, a man came out of the rest room, lingered a little and then left. After I ordered my food I found a table by a window and noticed he was holding a sign and standing on the side of the road. The Lord told me to leave my food and go out and give him some money, so I did. I wish I had more to give him, but I didn’t.
I found out that he was trying to raise money for his mother’s grave, not food, and he just wanted to talk… I let him talk and encouraged him to tell me about his life. He told me about the medicine he was taking for his mental condition and then I asked him if I could pray for him in Jesus name. He said yes, so I laid hands on him and prayed.
I wanted to do more but didn’t know what I could do. While I walked away to go eat my food, I cried more than I’d like to admit. And though my food was now cold, it tasted much better than if I would have eaten it hot and not have gone out to help this man to show Jesus’ love—even if it was only the little I did. Everyone else was ignoring him.
I must say this renewed awareness was awakened by my helping with the Dale Settle Jr. Foundation the other day with a wonderful group of people as we ministered to other wonderful people who are living through some tough times.
Thank you, Jesus, for letting me be used by you to share your love. I know some people will not understand this, and some are accustomed to people wanting something in return, but obeying Jesus and the feeling that goes with it is my reward. So was seeing that man smile as he said to me, “God bless you.” To me? Even typing about it now, I tear up… Please, let’s all make a more conscious effort to purposely slow down from our to-do lists and share Jesus’ love on purpose.
Genny L.: I had the most awesome time sharing food and goodies and the love of Jesus alongside the Dale Settle Jr. Foundation today. Many lives were touch and changed. We laid hands on the sick, prayed for people’s finances, had the honor of leading a man to the Saving Knowledge of Christ. I was blessed too—such Joy. Thank You, Father God, for I know you are at work in these people and our city in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Johnny M.: Please keep Anthony, another man we met, in prayer. He also was suffering—WAS suffering—from heart problems. We believe he received his healing. Such awesome work God is doing! So thankful!
